Happy New Year!
This week’s Plate of Inspiration is about Balance. This card, from the Healing with Angels Oracle Cards deck, has come up a few times recently – not surprisingly, as it can be a pretty crazy time of the year!
To me, this is about balancing our expectations of the year ahead (and it is going to be an AWESOME year), with the need to attend to each of the key areas of our life – work, play, relationships, spirituality, exercise and whatever else is important to you.
This card says that, “Whenever our schedules become disproportionate, our energy level drops. Lowered energy creates the illusion that there isn’t enough time in the day so a vicious cycle of time limitation ensues…the angels ask you to add regular doses of meditation, exercise and play to you days. They know that balancing your life between the key areas helps you to grow and feel joy.”
Green Aventurine (the dark green stones) helps to stabilise one’s state of mind, stimulate perception an enhance creativity. Aventurine also helps to calm anger and irritation, stimulates emotional recovery and enables living within one’s own heart.
Malachite (the two smaller dark green stones around the card) clears and activates the chakras and attunes to spiritual guidance. Placed on the third eye, it activates visualisation and psychic vision. On the heart, it brings balance and harmony, and opens the heart to unconditional love.
Stichtite (the purple and green streaky stones) encourages us to manifest our true self and live in accordance with your soul contract for your present life. It facilitates kundalini energy up the spine into the heart, and is a powerfully protective stone. By assisting in keeping our mind, opinions and emotional awareness acutely tuned, Stichtite teaches how negative emotions and ingrained attitudes affect our well-being, supporting us while we reframe them.
Pink Opal (the light pink stones) is an uplifting, joy-bringing stone. It can help to bring back sweetness and lightness into our lives. It also helps us to forget our worries and enhances emotional clarity, allowing us to see things as they really are – free from assumptions based on past experiences.
There’s also a bit of inspiration thrown in from the Angel Cards, and Perfect Potion’s Relax mist of Geranium, Lavender and Ylang Ylang essential oils is making this week’s Plate of Inspiration small divine.
Have a fabulous first week of 2016!
